Privacy Policy

The short version: Smart Gout Care runs entirely on your phone. There is no account, no cloud, and no server for us to send your data to. Your photos and health information never leave your device.
1. Who we are
Smart Gout Care ("we", "us", "the app") is a wellness app that helps people managing gout estimate the purine and added-sugar content of their meals. You can reach us any time at chloe@smartgoutcare.com.
2. Our core commitment: on-device only
All processing happens locally on your device. The food-recognition AI, the purine and sugar estimates, your Uric Load history, and every photo you scan are computed and stored on the phone itself. We do not operate servers that receive your health data, and we cannot see your meals, your scores, or your photos.
On-device processing. The 604-dish food classifier ships inside the app and runs offline. No image or health data is transmitted to us or any third party for analysis.
3. Information we do not collect
- No name, email address, or password, the app has no sign-up.
- No account or user profile stored on any server.
- No photos uploaded, images stay in the app's local storage on your device.
- No health data uploaded, purine, sugar, Uric Load, streaks and history are stored only on your device.
4. Camera and photos
When you scan a meal, the app uses your camera or photo library to capture an image. That image is analyzed on-device and saved to the app's local scan history so you can review it later. You can delete any scan, and its photo, from within the app at any time. Removing the app removes all of its local data from your device.
5. Purchases
The optional $19.99 lifetime unlock is processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play, not by us. We never see or store your payment details. Purchase validation and restoration are handled by the platform's standard in-app purchase system and tied to your store account, not to any account with us.
6. Analytics
We do not use analytics, advertising SDKs, or third-party trackers. If we ever add measurement, we will use a privacy-friendly, cookieless option that does not collect personal data, and we will update this policy before enabling it.
7. Children
Smart Gout Care is intended for adults managing their diet. It is not directed at children under 13, and because we collect no personal data, we do not knowingly gather information from anyone.
8. Your control
Because your data lives only on your device, you are always in control of it. You can delete individual scans, clear your history, or uninstall the app to erase everything at once. There is nothing stored with us to request or delete.
9. Changes to this policy
If we update this policy, we will revise the date above and, for material changes, note them in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised policy.
