Please read this first: Smart Gout Care is a wellness and self-tracking tool, not a medical device. It provides estimates to support your own decisions, it does not diagnose, treat, or provide medical advice. Always follow your doctor's guidance.
1. Acceptance
By downloading or using Smart Gout Care, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the app.
2. Wellness tool, not medical advice
Smart Gout Care estimates the purine and added-sugar content of meals and tracks a daily "Uric Load" to help you make informed choices. It is not a medical device, and its estimates are not a diagnosis, treatment, or substitute for professional medical advice. Do not use the app to make decisions about medication or urgent symptoms. If you are experiencing a medical emergency, contact your local emergency services.
3. Estimates and accuracy
Food recognition and nutrition figures are approximate and generated by an on-device AI model and a reference food database. Results can vary with lighting, portion, preparation, and ingredients the model cannot see. You are responsible for reviewing and, where needed, correcting each result using the portion controls and manual food search.
4. License
We grant you a personal, non-transferable, non-exclusive license to use the app on devices you own or control, for your own personal use, in accordance with the app store terms you downloaded it from.
5. Purchases and the lifetime unlock
The app is free to download and includes a 7-day full-access trial, after which you retain 4 free scans. You may optionally purchase a one-time lifetime unlock for $19.99 that enables unlimited scans and all features. This is a single purchase, there is no subscription and no recurring charge.
Purchases are processed by Apple's App Store or Google Play under their terms. The unlock is tied to your store account, so you can restore it on any device where you are signed in to the same account, at no additional cost.
6. Refunds
Refunds for in-app purchases are handled by Apple or Google according to their respective policies. Please contact the relevant store for refund requests.
7. Acceptable use
You agree not to reverse-engineer, resell, or misuse the app, and not to use it in any way that violates applicable law.
8. Disclaimer of warranties
The app is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including fitness for a particular purpose. We do not warrant that estimates will be accurate or that the app will be uninterrupted or error-free.
9. Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, we are not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app, including any health outcomes. Your use of the app is at your own discretion and risk.
10. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. We will revise the date above and, for material changes, note them in the app. Continued use after an update means you accept the revised terms.
